The Richmond Volleyball Club is dedicated to providing a lifetime of opportunity through the sport of volleyball by promoting interest in the sport, teaching and developing skills and techniques, and fostering teamwork, sportsmanship, and an appreciation for health and wellness.

As a nonprofit focused on providing opportunities for all people to play volleyball and not on profit, we rely on the revenue from programming to cover operating expenses. Like many other businesses, having to shut our doors for over two months has deeply undercut our financial stability. All spring programs for adults and juniors had to be cut short or cancelled, and our biggest fundraising events of the year - the juniors travel tournaments Boys East Coast Championships and Girls South Atlantic Championships typically held over Memorial Day weekend, were cancelled. All together, RVC lost 52% of its anticipated income for the year. Expenses continue to roll in though, such as mortgage payments, insurance, utilities, staff salaries, and general building upkeep, continuing to deplete our financial reserves.
